Mountoon apps (Mountoon Stories, and every app we publish under the Mountoon name)
- We do not collect personal information from children or from anyone else through our apps. There are no accounts, no ads, no analytics, no tracking and no third-party SDKs. Our apps make no network connections of their own.
- Reading progress, favourites and your sound/touch settings are stored only on your device and are erased when you delete the app.
- Purchases are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see your name, Apple Account, payment details or purchase history. Apple's privacy policy applies to that transaction.
- The purchase screen, settings and links out of the app sit behind a grown-ups gate.
COPPA (United States): we do not collect personal information from children. UK Children's Code: the app processes no personal data and has no profiling, nudging or third-party sharing. India DPDP Act, 2023: we do not process children's personal data and do not track or target children.
This website
- No cookies, no analytics, no advertising, no sign-up forms.
- Our hosting provider (Vercel) keeps standard short-lived server logs (such as IP address and requested page) to deliver and protect the site.
When you email us
If you write to hello@mountoon.com we use your email address and message only to reply. We delete the conversation once it is resolved, or sooner if you ask. Please do not send photos or details of your child — we never need them.
Your choices
Because the app keeps nothing about you off your device, there is nothing for us to export or delete. To erase on-device data, delete the app. To ask about an email you sent us, write to the address above.

Changes
If this policy ever changes we will update this page and the date above before the change takes effect. We will never add advertising or tracking to a children's product.
